Overview
The evolution of Securonis is complete. Cyrethium arrives with major changes and a much more secure architecture. obfs4 Tor bridges are now supported. Cyrethium is offered in two Core editions and two Respins. Detailed documentation for both the system and the tools is now available.

Removed Features
- Nuke2System — Removed due to security concerns.
- Nevermore — A shred-based wiper removed due to redundancy.
- PxrtalCrypt — Removed due to low usage.
Bug Fixes
- Metadata Cleaner — Fixed an issue that corrupted some photos after metadata removal.
- Secure Eraser — Added protection to prevent accidental deletion of critical system files.
- Live Mode — Fixed an issue where the screen could not be unlocked; the screen will no longer lock in live mode.
- Cyrethonion Watchdog — Automatically restarts the router when connectivity flaps during Tor routing.
Developer Notes
- Cyrethium now addresses multiple user profiles with 2 Core editions and 2 Respins.
- Core Editions — Cyrethium (full privacy, security, crypto, IDS, encryption suite) and Cyrethium Lite (lightweight, GUI-focused with essential privacy tools).
- Respins — Root0Edition (Tor routing + MAC change only; GNOME Wayland; minimal attack surface) and Zenrethium (tool-free minimalist Core-based edition).
- Some tools were renamed for clarity. Examples: VesperaCrypt → FastCrypt, Moneronis → Monerothium.
- If you're a former Securonis user, Cyrethium Lite provides the closest experience and is recommended.
- The project name changed from Securonis to Cyrethium due to SEO issues and potential trademark risks.

- Documentation has been significantly expanded, with detailed pages for each tool and some tutorials added.
- I strongly recommend migrating from Securonis to Cyrethium due to numerous fixes and improved security.
Legacy Releases Notes (Securonis) — The following releases belong to the previous name of the project, Securonis.
Overview
In this release, the system is hardened by default, significantly enhancing security. The new hardening structure is specially designed to balance everyday usability with robust protection. The Tor infrastructure and interface have been completely redesigned to be much more stable and secure. Additionally, the system automatically cleans all traces upon shutdown, maximizing user privacy.
New Features
- Moneronis - A CLI menu tool that simplifies Monero usage.
- Paranoia - Now enforces much stricter network isolation.
- New Applications - Qtox, LibreOffice, Kleopatra, and KeePassXC have been added.
- Securonis Cleanup - Cleans all traces from the system on shutdown, including swap and RAM.
- Securonis Antifingerprint - Services that make digital fingerprinting detection more difficult.
- Seconionis - The infrastructure has been redesigned for improved security and stability.
- New GTK Router Menu - Now much easier to manage with the new GTK menu.
- UFW and Haveged - Enabled by default.
- Firescorpion Browser - Now has more secure and stricter settings and extensions updated.
- Root0 Hardening - Flexible hardening services added that apply network and system hardening settings.
- Armor Hardening - Hardens permissions of critical system files at every startup.
- Security-misc - Security settings forked from Kicksecure, but significantly relaxed due to their strictness.
- Anonboot - Generates a random hostname at every startup.
Improvements
- Minor bugs in some tools have been fixed.
- Kernel Upgraded - Default kernel upgraded from 6.12.31 to 6.12.33.
Removed Features
- ProtonVPN - Removed due to access restrictions in some countries that prevented updates.
- Tor Browser Bundle - Removed to prevent Tor-over-Tor issues.
- OpenMammoth Lite - Removed as it was unstable and redundant.
- System Hardening Settings - Removed since the system now includes balanced hardening by default.
Bug Fixes
- Minor but important bug fixes improving system stability and performance.
Developer Notes

- Firescorpion browser is extremely hardened and may have issues on some websites.
- AppArmor is not enabled in Live mode; it becomes active after installation.

Overview
Securonis Linux 3.0 is the biggest update so far. This version includes many new tools, bug fixes, and theme improvements. Additionally, this version says goodbye to the GNOME desktop environment; Securonis will no longer offer GNOME versions.

- FireScorpion Browser - A hardened Firefox customization for privacy and security. Blocks ads and tracking.
- Data Destroyer - A GUI tool that securely erases data by overwriting it.
- System Knight - A client for malware and rootkit scanning.
- OpenMammoth Lite - Migrated to the more stable and faster OpenMammoth Lite edition.
- New Password Manager - Redesigned from scratch with a brand-new interface.
- New Nuke2System - Redesigned from scratch as a separate tool.

- System Hardening Settings - Now offers two new kernel settings: Performance and Extreme hardening.

- Network interface detection issue with OpenMammoth Lite has been fixed.
Developer Notes
- 3.0 is the biggest update so far and the most stable version. Strongly recommended to upgrade.
- Firescorpion browser is extremely hardened; some sites may not work properly.
- EFF tests show strong results for Firescorpion; a strong Tor alternative when used with Seconionis.
- Feedback is essential to improve Securonis; please report any issues.

Overview
Securonis Linux 1.0 is the Debian edition of the Portal OS (Golge Linux) project. Portal OS was an Arch-based amnesic privacy-focused distribution. Development will continue with the Debian version due to stability issues.
